Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued a Notification on 29-07-2024 in connection with the Grant of BS-17 to Librarian BS-16 on Acquiring a Master Degree. The details are as follows:

No.FD.PC.1.1-1/77(pt. V)(Vol-III_.- in the exercise of the pows conferred under rule 12 of the Punjab Civil Servants Pay Revision Rules, 1977, Governor of Punjab is pleased to make the following amendments in the Schedule appended their to, with immediate effect:

1. Librarians for all Administrative Departement appointed in Bs-16 shall be entitled to BS-17 with effect from the date of appointment or passing of Master’s Degree in Library Science, whichever is later; and
2. The Administrative Department is competent to grant BS-17 to incumbents of the posts in BS-16 who hold Master’s Degree in Librarian Science as already clarified vide Finance Department’s letter No.FD.OC.1/77 dated 13-12-1982.”
