Notification Revision Employment, Pension and Salary Financial Assistance Package Punjab 2024

Government of the Punjab, Finance Division issued a Notification on 19-08-2024 in connection with the Revised Employment, Pension, and Salary Financial Assistance Package Punjab 2024. These amendments are for the packages for the family of the Government employees who die while in service.

Revised Employment, Pension, and Salary Policy Financial Assistance Package Punjab 2024

 

The FD Punjab issued the Notification regarding Financial Assistance to the Family of a Civil Servant Who Dies While in Service. The Finance Department made amendments to the job of the child of the deceased Government employee. The Punjab Govt also made amendments to Pension and Salary for the same cases.

 

In continuation of this department’s letter bearing No. FD.SR-1/3-1/2004(P-II), dated 07-02-2024 and in pursuance of the decision of the Provincial Cabinet in its 8th meeting held on 24-05-2024, I am directed to state that the Governor of Punjab has been pleased to approve the following revision in the provision of Serial No.2(i) & 5 of Para-1 of Financial Assistance Package notified vide Finance Department’s policy letter bearing FD.SR-1/3-1/2004 dated 15-08-2017 for the families of civil servants who die while in service.

 

Pension / Salary

 

Existing Revised
The deceased’s family shall be allowed salary, along with annual increases in the pay, the deceased officer/official was drawing till the date of superannuation of the deceased civil servants. Grant of basic pay and allowances subject to conditions of the admissibility from time to time i.e. House Rent Allowance, Special Allowance 20% (2009), Medical Allowances, along with annual increases in the basic pay, to the deceased officer/official till the date of his  / her superannuation, tough creation of OSD posy, for the entitled family members of civil servants of Punjab Government, Moreover, PAS/PSP officers who die-in service whose posted under the Government of Punjab will also be entitled to the faculty of creation of the OSD post till their family pension cases shall be processed by their respective competent authorities in the Federal Government.

Policy vide letter No. FD.ST-1/3-10/2004, dated 15-08-2017 is applicable w.e.f 22-02-2017 hence officers who die while in service on or after 2-02-2017 will be entitled to the creation of the post of OSD under this policy.

Appointment of one child or window in BS-1 to BS011 (including the post of Patwary and Junior Clerk) on a contract or regular basis as per provisions of Rules 17-A of the PCS (A7CS) Rues, 1974 or families of the deceased civil servants who dues while in service w.e.f 10-01-2024 The Finance Department Punjab already issued a Notification of Omitting Rule 17-A Punjab. The provision of Rules 17-A of the PCS (A&CS) Rules, 1946 has been omitted by the Regulations Wing, S&GAD w.e.f 26-07-2024 vide gazetted notification bearing No.SOR-III(S7GAD)2-60/2024, dated 26-07-2024.
