Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued a Notification on 27-08-2024 in connection with amendments Pension Rules Punjab. These new Civil Servants rules of pension are applicable with immediate effect i.e. 27 Aug 2024.

The government of the Punjab  Finance Department issued Notification No. FD.SR-III-4-104/2024. In exercise of the powers conferred under section 23 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974 (VIII of 1974), the Governor of the Punjab is pleased to make the following amendments in the Punjab Civil Services, Pension Rules, with immediate effect:

 

Amendments 

 

In the Punjab Civil Services Pension Rules, in Chapter V-Applications for Grant of Pension:

 

1. In rule 5.1

 

After the word “Applications”, the expression “or e-applications” shall be inserted.

 

2 -In rule 5.2

 

(a) after the words “pension papers” occur twice, the expression “or e-pension papers” shall be inserted;

(b) In clause (i), after the word “application”, the expression “or e-application” shall be inserted;

(c) In clause (ii), after the word “application” the express “ or e-expression”  shall be inserted; and

(d) under heading Government Instructions, at Sr. No. (iii), after the words “pension papers”, the expression “or e-pension papers” shall be inserted.

 

3. In rule 5.3

 

(a) In sub-rule (1), after the word “application”, occurring for the first time, the expression “or e-application” shall be inserted; and

(b) in sub-rule (4):

(i) In sub-rule (1), after the word “application”, occurring for the first time, the expression “or e-application” shall be inserted; and

(ii) after the word “application”, occurring twice,  the expression “or e-application” shall be inserted; and

(iii) after the words “Medical Certificate”, the expression “or e-medical certificate” shall be inserted.

 

4. In rule 5.4

 

(a) in sub-rule (1):

(i) after the words “application”, the expression “or e-application” shall be inserted; and

(ii) after the word “documents”, the expression “or e-documents” shall be inserted;

(b) In sub-rule (2):

(i) After the word “application”, the expression “or e-application” shall be inserted; and

(ii) In Note (1), after the words “Pension papers”, occurring twice , the expression “or e-pension papers” shall be inserted; and

(c) in sub-rule (3), after the word “application”, the expression “or e-application” shall be inserted; and

 

5. In rule 5.5:

 

(a) in sub-rule (1), after the word “application”, the expression “or e-application” shall be inserted; and

(b) In sub-rule (5):

(i) after the word “application”, occurring twice, the expression “or e-application” shall be inserted; and

(ii) after the word “Documents”, the expression “or e-documents” shall be inserted.

 

6. In rule 5.6,

 

after the words “pension papers”, occurring twice, the expression “or e-pension papers” shall be inserted.
