Government of the Punjab School Education Department issued a Notification on 15-11-2024 in connection with Extension Holidays in Schools and Colleges Punjab upto 24-11-2024. This SED issued a Notification for Schools and Higher Secondary Schools closing. Previous SED Punja issued a Notification for Holidays in Schools and Colleges on 13 Nov 2024. These holidays were till 17th Nov 2024. The schools/colleges will remain closed from 18 Nov 2024 till 24 Nov 2024. Now, this letter has been issued for the extension. The details are as follows:

No.SO(A-I)1-31/2022: Under order dated 15-11-202 of Director General Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Government of Punjab and in continuation of this department’s earlier notification dated 12-11-2024, in wake of prevailing smog conditions and reduced visibility, the closure and shifting to the online system of all educational institutions (Public/Private), including private tuition centres upto Highest Secondary Level (12th Grade) in the Province of Punjab except in the territorial jurisdiction of District Muree is hereby extended till 24-11-2024.
- Chief Executive Officers (DEA) concerned are directed to ensure compliance with the orders.
Copy Forwarding Holidays from 18 Nov to 24 Nov 2024
A copy is forwarded for information and necessary action to the following offices:
- The Director of Public Instructions (SE/EE), Punjab.
- All Deputy Commissioners in the Punjab.
- The Director (Monitoring), with request to upload the same on official website of School Education Department for general information.
- All CEOs (DEA) are in Punjab.
- PSO to Minister for School Education Department.
- PS to Secretary General, Environmental Protection Agency Punjab, Lahore.
- PS to Secretary, Special Education
- The PS to Secretary Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education Department.
- PS to Secretary, School Education Department.
- PA to Deputy Secretary (Accad), School Education Department.
- PS to Special Secretary, School Education Department.
- PA to Additional Secretary (General), School Education Department.
The Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab will also issue its own notification for closings/holidays in colleges.
