The Government of Sindh, with financial assistance from the World Bank under IDA Credit N:7244- Pak, has started the Sindh Water & Agriculture Transformation (SWAT) Project in 2023 with a total approved cost of ES$ 320 million. The overarching theme of the project is the water and agriculture nexus and synergies in both sector’s investments and policy reforms with objectives to increase agricultural water predictivity in selected Farmer Organization command areas of boring 22 districts of Sindh, implore integrated water resources management, and contribute to restoring crop production by small farmers after 2022 floods.
