The Chief Minister Punjab launched the Honhihar Scholarship (Distribution of Cheques to Students) Punjab 2024 on 4th December 2024. She handed over cheques to some students. There are 30,000 number of scholarships for the brilliant students of Universities and Colleges in Punjab. The position-holder students in intermediate and matric will also get scholarships.

The University Students of BS will get scholarships for four years. The Punjab Government has also included Medical Universities, FAST, GIKI, and NUMS Universities. The students of BS classes will get nearly 50,000/- per semester thus totaling nearly Rs. 400,000/- for their full BS education. The Chief Minister of Punjab has also announced Laptop Distribution for these students. The specification of laptops is I-7 13th Generation which is the latest one. The Punjab Government will distribute laptops in January 2024. Before this a few weeks ago Punjab Government announced. Laptop Scheme and Honihar Merit Based Scholsrips 2024-25 in Punab for the honihar students.
Laptops and Scholarships Cheque Handing Over
The Punjab Government recently launched the Honhar Scholarship Program today, designed to support talented and deserving students from financially constrained backgrounds. This initiative, spearheaded by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has an annual budget of Rs. 7 billion and aims to benefit 30,000 students across Punjab each year.
The Punjab Government is planning to launch a laptop distribution program in January under the Honihar Scholarship initiative. This scheme aims to provide laptops to deserving and talented students, enhancing their access to technology and educational resources.
Male and Female Students Detail who will get Scholarships
Male Students = 12000 number
Female Students = 18000 number
The Punjab Government received more than 70000 applications for the scholarships and finally, on merit, it selected 30000 students. These scholarships are purely merit-based. The students who obtained marks/aggregation in intermediate starting from 73.46% weightage will get scholarships. This was a launching event/ceremony. The university authorities will issue the cheques to students soon.
