Government of the Punjab Higher Education issued a Notification on 18-12-2024 in connection with Winter Holidays Colleges (HED) Punjab 2024. As per the HED Punjab Notification, the Educational Institutions under HED will remain closed for winter vacation 2024 with effect from 24 Dec 2024 (Tuesday) to 5^th January 2025 (Sunday).

Winter Holidays Colleges (HED) Punjab 2024

No.S. O(A-II)-1-1/2001(P): It is hereby notified shall all higher educational institutions, both in Public and private sector, under the Jurisdiction of the Higher Educational Department (HEC), Punjab, shall remain closed for winter vacations w.e.f 24-12-2024 (Tuesday) to 05-01-2025 Sunday).

2. All Colleges (Public and private) shall re-open on Monday, 06^th January 2025, resuming full/normal week for all classes.
3. BS 4-Year Programs, however, shall continue to function. Furthermore, all examinations shall be held as per the notified schedules of Boards and universities.

SED Punjab Notification

Before this, the School Education Department also issued the Notification for Winter Vacation 2024 SED Punjab for schools. There are two different Notifications of SED Punjab showing winter holidays from 20th Dec 2024 and others from 23rd Dec 2024. Both Notifications are original, The SED Punjab issued the number showing the start of holidays from 23 Dec at a later stage.
