Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued a Notification on 13-01-2025 in connection with Advance Salary January 2025 in Punjab. The employees and pensioners will get pay and pension in advance on 31st January 2025.
Advance Salary January 2025 in Punjab (Pay, Allowances and Pension)
As per the Notification, the employees of the Punjab Government will get advance salary on 31st January 2025 and pensioners will also get a pension in advance. The reason for the 1st and 2nd of February 2025 are public holidays i.e. Saturday and Sunday. As per the finance rules, if there are 1st and 2nd days of the month or so are closed, then the employees and pensioners will get pay/allowances and pension in advance on the 1st available working days before the holidays.
The Federal and other province employees will also get the salary in advance for January 2025.

Contents of Notification
In the wake of 01st and 02nd February 2025 being gazette holidays i. e Saturday and Sunday, the Governor of the Punjab pleases to approve the advance salary and pension. The employees and pensioners will get pay and allowances/pension on 31st January 205 (Friday). They will get this pension and salary in advance as provided in Note-1 below Rule 5.1 (1) (e) Punjab Financial Rules Volume-I.
Forgoing in view, you requested to take necessary action accordingly for the disbursement of pay & allowances and pension on 31-01-2025 (Friday) positively.

This is not a piece of good news for all employees, they will get a salary and pension in advance just a few days ago as per routine.
