rGovernment of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat, Establishment Division issued a Notification on 07-02-2025 in connection with No Jobs for Family Member After the Death of Govt Employee. As per the Prime Minister Assistance Package, the son, daughter, wife, etc had the right to get a Government Job after the death of the Civil Servant. Now after the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan,n all provincial Governments have withdrawn the right of jobs after the death of the Govt employee. The Federal Government has also followed the orders/decision of the honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan. The details are as follows:

Subject: Withdrawal of Provision of Regular Appointment Under the Item Employment in Prime Minister’s Assistance Package for the Families of Government Employees Who Die in Service
As per the Notification. the undersigned direct to refer to this Division’s O.M. Numbe. 8/10/2013-E-2 dated 04-12-2015, read with O.M. No. 8/23/2021-E-2(pt) dated 23-12-2022, and to state that in compliance with the Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan’s judgment dated 18-10-2024 in C.P. No. 3390/2021, titled General Post Office, Islamabad and Others vs Mr. Muhammad Jalal, the Prime Minister has approved the withdrawal of the provision of employment from the Prime Minister’s Assistance Package, specifically for in-service deaths only, with immediate effect from the date of the judgment’s pronouncement. All other benefits under the Prime Minister’s Assistance Package will continue to be admissible to the families of deceased civil servants.
However, the provision of appointments under the Prime Minister’s Assistance Package for the legal heirs of martyred personnel from law enforcement agencies and civil servants who die due to terrorist activities will remain unaffected by the aforementioned judgment from the Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan. Similarly, this judgment will not impact the appointments already made for the widow/widower, wife, husband, or child of deceased civil servants.
All Ministries and Divisions are requested to ensure the circulation of the above-mentioned instructions to the attached departments and subordinate offices under their administrative control for implementation in both letter and spirit.

Previously the Following Provincial Governments have withdrawn the orders of Jobs to sons/daughters/widows etc after the death of a Government employee:

- Balochistan Government
- KPK Government
Punjab Government Orders
Punjab Government, Finance Department issued a Notification on 24 July 2024 in connection with Omitting Rule 17-A from Appointment Rules Punjab.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Orders
The Finance Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has also issued a Notification on 20 Nov 2024 in connection with no more jobs under the Assistance Package KPK for widows/wives/husbands or children in case of death of the Government employees.
