The Punjab School Education Department has issued a Notification No. SO (SE-IV-A) 2-373/2024 dated 08-04-2025 in connection with the Opening of E-Transfer Round 2025 SED Punjab.
The SED ensures transparent postings for promoted and awaiting-posting teachers under the updated policy.
Opening of E-Transfer Round 2025 SED Punjab
This notice refers to our Department’s Letter No. DD(M)e-Transfer/2025 dated March 27, 2025, which opened the SIS round for teacher transfers. Specifically, it covers promotion actualization and awaiting postings for teachers/officers effective April 7, 2025, under the 2024 e-transfer policy. Below are the key provisions from Paragraphs 7(viii) and 11-1(viii):
First, Paragraph 7(viii) states:
“If promoted teachers submit too few preferences or none at all for vacant posts, the Department will assign them through the SIS Portal to available positions.”
Similarly, Paragraph 11-1(viii) specifies:
“For awaiting-post teachers who don’t submit enough preferences, the Appointing Authority/SED will place them through the SIS Portal to vacant posts.”
Therefore, all Chief Executive Officers must immediately share these policy details with affected teachers. Additionally, emphasize that teachers must submit the maximum number of preferences. Otherwise, the system will automatically assign them to remaining vacancies per the 2024 e-transfer policy.
